Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is hiring for a patient care role in the Burnet Emergency Department on the Night shift. This part-time position totals 24 hours per week (0.6 FTE) with regular status.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering approved care under RN supervision, assisting with activities of daily living, transporting patients, and documenting in the medical record while maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited clinical rotation
• Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA ( reciprocity within 180 days of hire)
• Ohio or National Emergency Medical Services Registry
• 1+ year of patient care experience in the last 3 years
• Requires CPR training and maintenance of certification

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care – Provide approved care of assigned patients under supervision of RN; supervise activities of daily living and assist co-workers.
• Communicate patient status changes and complete timely documentation in the patient medical record.
• Maintain a safe, organized environment; adhere to infection control policies and safety procedures.
• Assist with patient transport and 1-on-1 observation as needed; support orientation and training of new staff.

Education
