Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Burnet Emergency Department is seeking a part-time patient care support role to provide supervised care, support for daily activities, and help with patient transport and observation. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork in a fast-paced pediatric environment.

The position supports care delivery under the RN and includes shift work during the Night schedule. Strong communication, organization, and adherence to infection control policies are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of medical/surgical rotation or equivalent clinical rotation preferred.
• STNA or CNA registry in Ohio or reciprocal in 180 days favors candidacy.
• 1+ year of patient care experience in last 3 years.
• CPR training and certification maintenance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide approved care to assigned patients under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and develop appropriate activities.
• Assist with patient transport and 1-on-1 observation as needed.
• Maintain infection control practices and safety protocols.
