Job summary

At Cincinnati Children's, a Patient Care Assistant provides care under RN supervision, assists with activities of daily living, and supports safe, developmentally appropriate care. You will document in the patient record, handle communications, and help keep the environment orderly and secure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one of the listed credentials.
• Requires CPR training and maintenance of certification.
• Internal training program is offered periodically based on business need and availability.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - Provide approved care of assigned patients and assist in implementation of interventions under supervision of a RN.
• Communication - Demonstrates CARES behaviors, reports changes in patient condition, completes documentation in the medical record.
• Environment - Maintain a safe, organized, infection-controlled environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Administrative Support - Respond to alarms and calls, answer phones, assemble charts, stock supplies, and assist in training new employees.
