Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CPR certification required.
• 1+ years of patient care experience within last three years preferred.
• CPR certification and maintenance of certification required.
• Completion of medical/surgical or equivalent clinical rotation from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution, OR Listed on Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA, OR listed on Ohio or National EMS Registry.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - Provide approved care of assigned patients under supervision of RN and assist with interventions.
• Communication - Document patient status and communicate changes during shifts; participate in care discussions.
• Environment - Maintain a safe, organized, and infection-control compliant unit.
• Administrative Support - Respond to alarms, answer calls, assemble charts and supplies; assist with training new employees.
