Job summary

Valley Childrens is seeking an echocardiography technologist to perform routine congenital and pediatric studies, assist in transesophageal, epicardial and intracardiac procedures, and generate a draft report for the cardiology team.

The role is in outpatient clinic settings, working under the clinic manager, with participation in on-call duties and outreach. EKGs and Holter monitoring are also part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years Congenital & pediatric echocardiography (preferred).
• Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac embryology, congenital heart defects, cardiac hemodynamics and palliative/corrective congenital heart surgical procedures.
• Instruct, train and educate health providers in the assessment of congenital heart disease.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing routine congenital and pediatric echocardiographic procedures.
• Assist in transesophageal, epicardial and intracardiac echocardiographic procedures in outpatient clinic environment.
• Generate and prepare a draft echocardiogram report using AR archiving/reporting software.
• Participate in on-call duties and outreach clinic involvement.
• Perform EKGs, Holter and multi-event applications.
