Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 for the Pediatric BEST Team in Nashville. The part-time night shift (7pm–7am, 24 hours/week) provides direct care to children and youth with behavioral and mental health needs in inpatient and emergency settings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include crisis response, education for care teams, and adherence to nursing standards; BSN preferred and Marcus crisis prevention training completed.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of pediatric clinical experience, preferably in an emergency or acute care setting.
• Minimum of two years of psychiatric or behavioral health experience in a medical setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field.
• Completion of Marcus crisis prevention training program within orientation.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, management, and treatment planning for patients with behavioral and mental health needs by responding to behavioral crisis events.
• Lead crisis response effort debriefs following behavioral emergencies.
• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, management, and treatment planning for behavioral health patients through proactive rounding.
• Provide education and support to care teams regarding behavioral health diagnoses and interventions.
