Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville seeks an experienced pediatric behavioral health crisis specialist to join a multi-disciplinary team within a hospital setting. The role focuses on crisis intervention, prevention and care coordination for patients admitted to inpatient units and the Pediatric Emergency Department.

You will respond to behavioral events, educate families and care teams, document care and participate in ongoing quality improvement. Shift: 7pm–7am, 36 hours a week.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of pediatric clinical experience, preferably in an emergency or acute care setting.
• Minimum of two years of psychiatric or behavioral health experience in a medical setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and manage behavioral health needs during crises.
• Lead crisis response debriefs following emergencies.
• Educate and support care teams on behavioral health diagnoses and interventions.
