Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. in Sterling is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental or behavioral health challenges.

You will help develop social and communication skills, document progress, and implement plans from Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Responsibilities include following behavior plans, tracking milestones, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs
• Strong communication skills
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Completion of college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or 1+ year related experience with children

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors
• Document child progress and milestones
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts
