Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia care team. The role involves preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies, assisting in procedures, and supporting patient transport and positioning in a pediatric hospital setting.

The technician works under supervision of anesthesia providers and nurses, ensuring equipment readiness, proper sterilization, and coordinating with the blood bank for supplies and blood products.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• AHA BLS within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of prior ambulatory or acute care hospital experience in Surgical or Perioperative Services.
• CER.A.T./CER.A.T.T. certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed anesthesia providers in operating rooms and procedures.
• Maintain and prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Operate blood gas analyzer and process samples.
• Support pre- and post-op patient transport and positioning.
• Rotate and order supplies; coordinate with the blood bank.
