The MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital in Charleston, SC seeks a Certified Anesthesiology Assistant to provide perioperative anesthesia management for pediatric patients undergoing surgical and non-surgical procedures.

Under the supervision of anesthesiologists, the AA administers anesthetics, operates anesthesia equipment, maintains records, participates in teaching, and supports safety and quality initiatives.

Formación

• Graduation from an Anesthesiologist Assistant program certified by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants.
• Current certification or licensure eligibility with the SC Board of Medical Examiners and AA Committee.
• Evidence of licensure or ability to obtain licensure in South Carolina.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provide perioperative anesthesia management for pediatric patients undergoing procedures.
• Administer anesthetics under physician protocol and supervise anesthesia equipment operation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support teaching and professional development.
• Assist in transport and resuscitation as needed and ensure safety standards.
