Job summary

The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in coastal Charleston, SC seeks anesthesiologists with expertise in pediatrics, critical care, comprehensive, regional, obstetrics & gynecology, and neuroanesthesia. These full‑time academic positions involve education of residents and fellows in a multidisciplinary team‑based practice.

Qualified candidates will be AB Anesthesiology certified or eligible, with subspecialty fellowship

Qualifications

• American Board of Anesthesiology Certified or Board Eligible is required
• Fellowship in individual subspecialty is required
• Eligibility for South Carolina licensure
• Research experience and interests are preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care across multiple subspecialties in an academic, team-based setting
• Contribute to resident and fellow education and clinical didactics
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary perioperative teams and CRNAs
• Engage in teaching, mentorship, and academic activities
