Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 1 year experience in an acute health care setting - pediatrics preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) is required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist patient with ambulation and discharge.
• Prepare, stock, and maintain clean exam rooms and clinical equipment.
• Collect data for meaningful use including chief complaints, medications, allergies, tobacco exposure, vitals, and growth measurements.
• Monitor waiting areas and assist with patient flow to ensure timely care.
• Recognize abnormalities and report to RN or Provider; initiate Basic Life Support when needed.
