Job summary

Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA is seeking an Activities Assistant to lead 1:1 and group activities for medically fragile children under the supervision of a Recreational Therapist.

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy when engaging with medically fragile children.
• Ability to adapt activities for developmental levels and needs.
• Experience in pediatric activity programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparing, and leading 1:1 and group activities.
• Support community life programming on and off campus.
• Adapt activities to meet each child’s abilities and care plans.
• Encourage participation and build positive relationships.
• Document participation and engagement in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the Recreational Therapist and interdisciplinary team.
