Job summary

Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA seeks a caring Activities Assistant to plan and run 1:1 and group activities for medically fragile children. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Artistic background or prior instruction from a certified activity consultant.
• Ability to lead group programs.
• Experience in activities department in long term care or hospital setting.
• English language reading/writing at intermediate level or higher.

Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA (Bucks County) is seeking a warmhearted and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team in a Part-time status! We are currently seeking a n Activities Assistant to ensure each residents’ social, emotional and developmental needs are met through a variety of 1:1 and group activities.

Working under the guidance of a Recreational Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in creating individualized and group activities that support developmental growth, social interaction, and emotional well-being in a specialized pediatric environment.

seeking to fill a full-time 11:00am-7:00pm & part-time position traveler position pending a 3:00pm-7:00pm or 4:00pm-8:00pm shift options.

• You’ll collaborate closely with the Recreational Therapist and interdisciplinary team to ensure programming is purposeful and individualized.

Qualifications

Activity Assistant:

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED
• Must be 21 years or older
• Artistic background or previous instruction from a certified activity consultant
• Ability to lead group programs
• Previous experience working in an activities department in long term care or hospital setting
• This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
