Sanctuary Pointe Nursing & Rehab Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, part of Caring Place Healthcare Group, seeks an Activities Assistant to enrich residents’ lives through engaging daily programs and meaningful connections.

You will plan, develop, and lead activities, build relationships with residents, and support collaboration across departments, while maintaining safety and privacy guidelines. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in activities or healthcare preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement engaging daily activity programs.
• Encourage resident participation through visits and relationship-building.
• Lead group and individual activities as scheduled.
• Gather resident interests and contribute to individualized activity care plans.
• Document resident participation and progress in activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate programs and special events.
• Participate in resident council meetings and provide support as needed.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for residents.
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Attend required trainings, in-services, and team meetings.

Your Role as an Activities Assistant:

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous experience in activities or a healthcare setting preferred, but not required
• Energetic, creative, and compassionate personality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to remain calm and patient in emotionally demanding situations
• Comfortable working with elderly individuals, including those who may be ill or cognitively impaired
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents as needed
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
