Job summary

Achieve Beyond in the New York area is hiring Part-time, Hourly Behavior Therapist Interns in Forest Hills and surrounding areas. This paid internship offers hands-on experience providing ABA services to children with special needs in home, community, and clinic settings.

You will work under the supervision of a BCBA, participate in team meetings, collect daily data, and support families with strategies for home and community use.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year working with children in a supervised setting.
• Current undergraduate student in psychology, healthcare, or related field.
• ABA experience preferred but not required.
• Completed 20 hours of classroom training and competency with Achieve Beyond.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the BCBA.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other Behavior Therapists on the case.
• Communicate frequently with family members by providing debriefs and resources for home and community use.
• Collect daily data and organize the child's program book weekly.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families per state and federal regulations.
