Ascend Rehab Services, Inc. is hiring an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialist / Speech-Language Pathologist for an in-person role in California.
The position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates and emphasizes AAC evaluations, SGDs, assistive technology, autism support, and complex communication needs in pediatric clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with AAC platforms such as Tobii Dynavox, TouchChat, LAMP Words for Life, and Proloquo2Go, plus
Formación
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- AAC related coursework/experience preferred.
- CA SLP license required.
- Proven experience in AAC assessment preferred.
Responsabilidades
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' communication needs and abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized AAC plans tailored to each patient's requirements.
- Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support students in school settings.
- Provide training and support to families and caregivers on AAC device usage.
- Stay updated on advancements in speech therapy and AAC technologies to enhance patient care.
