Ascend Rehab Services, Inc. in California is hiring an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialist / Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an in-person role.

Open to full-time or part-time candidates, with opportunities across Early Intervention, outpatient clinics, and school settings. Ideal candidates have AAC assessment experience, familiarity with SGDs and devices like Tobii Dynavox, TouchChat, LAMP Words for Life, Proloquo2Go, and a passion for supporting children with

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and CCC-SLP credentials.
CA SLP license required.
Experience with AAC assessments and devices valued.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' communication needs and abilities.
Develop and implement individualized AAC plans tailored to each patient's requirements.
Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support students in school settings.
Provide training and support to families and caregivers on AAC device usage.
Stay updated on advancements in speech therapy and AAC technologies to enhance patient care.
