Job summary

Ascend Rehab Services Inc. is hiring an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialist / Speech-Language Pathologist for an in-person role in California.

Open to full-time or part-time candidates, with focus on AAC evaluations, SGDs, and autism support for pediatric populations. Ideal candidates have experience with Tobii Dynavox, TouchChat, LAMP Words for Life, and Proloquo2Go, and enjoy collaboration across Early Intervention, outpatient clinics, and school districts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in SLP with CCC-SLP certification.
• AAC coursework/experience and CA licensure required.
• Experience with AAC evaluations strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct AAC assessments to evaluate communication needs.
• Develop and implement individualized AAC plans.
• Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals for student support.
• Provide training to families on AAC device usage.
• Stay updated on AAC advances to enhance patient care.
