Job summary

Ascend Rehab Services, Inc. is hiring an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialist / Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an in-person role in California. We welcome both full-time and part-time candidates and value experience with SGDs, autism support, and complex communication needs.

You will assess communication needs, design AAC plans, and collaborate with schools and healthcare teams. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and CCC-SLP certification.
CA State SLP License is required.
AAC coursework/experience with AAC platforms is preferred.
Experience with school-based settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' communication needs and abilities.
Develop and implement individualized AAC plans for each patient.
Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support students in school settings.
Provide training and support to families and caregivers on AAC device usage.
Stay updated on advancements in AAC technologies to enhance patient care.
