Job summary

Ascend Rehab Services Inc is hiring an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialist/Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an in-person role in Sacramento, CA. Qualifications

Role Overview

Ascend has recently acquired ACTS (Augmentative Communication & Technology Services), a well‑established San Francisco Bay Area AAC practice specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication services and assistive technology support for pediatric populations. We are expanding our AAC services and are currently hiring an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialist / Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) for an in‑person position. The role is open to both full‑time and part‑time candidates.

This position is ideal for an SLP with experience or a strong interest in AAC evaluations, speech‑generating devices (SGDs), assistive technology, autism support, and complex communication needs. Experience with AAC platforms such as Tobii Dynavox, TouchChat, LAMP Words for Life, Proloquo2Go, and other communication systems is highly valued.
