Job summary

French & Parello Associates (FPA) seeks a Project Engineer for our Municipal department in Wall, NJ to support planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure programs. You will prepare calculations, specifications, and construction documents, and develop plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

You’ll coordinate with project managers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and assist with meetings and permitting. The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a B.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• PE license required
• 4–8 years of municipal/public infrastructure experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects
• Prepare calculations, specifications, and construction documents
• Develop plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and disciplines
• Interface with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and utilities
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals
• Provide construction support and site visits
• Participate in client meetings and coordination meetings
• Assist with cost estimates, schedules, and budgets
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment
