Oliver Wyman is seeking an Engagement Manager for its Private Capital/Industrials practice in North America, including Chicago. You will lead engagements, guide teams, and deliver strategic recommendations for private equity clients across deal lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Professional working experience with commercial due diligence in a management consulting firm.
• Experience in industrials within Private Equity.
• Knowledge of customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups).
• Strong background in strategic problem solving with analytical skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in formal and informal settings.
• Fluent in English.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements from start to finish, taking ownership of project delivery, team management, and client relationships.
• Structure complex business problems, develop hypotheses, oversee rigorous analyses and translate findings into actionable strategic recommendations.
• Guide and develop consulting teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables while managing timelines and resources.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including private equity investors and portfolio company leadership.
• Contribute to business development efforts and mentor junior colleagues.
