Job summary

Metromont LLC is seeking a Civil Engineer with PE certification to design precast concrete systems and components, review drawings, and coordinate with drafters, coordinators, and project teams. You will lead design efforts, participate in project meetings, and ensure adherence to Metromont standards.

Qualified candidates have 3-7 years of relevant experience, strong communication, and a proven ability to manage multiple design tasks in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Civil Engineering with PE certification.
• 3-7 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with precast/concrete design preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and details for all products and connections.
• Independently manage engineering design aspects of a project with minimal guidance.
• Review contract documents to be familiar with project requirements.
• Attend project meetings; may lead coordination meetings.
• Write and review requests for information (RFI).
• Resolve engineering design issues independently.
• Assist others with resolving engineering design issues.
• Check engineering design calculations and details of others for accuracy and adherence to Metromont standards.
• Review erection drawings, master shop tickets, and any additional shop tickets to ensure designs and standards are followed.
• Be actively aware of production processes through regular plant visits.
• Become licensed in states where engineering work is performed and review and stamp erection drawings when assigned.
• Evaluate design cost as compared to estimate and take appropriate action.
• Complete repairs without assistance.
• Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
