Job summary

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering required; structural emphasis preferred.
• PE Certification required.
• Prior precast concrete engineering experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and details for products and connections.
• Independently perform lateral analysis and design; troubleshoot and check laterals.
• Lead project teams.
• Independently manage engineering design aspects of a project with minimal guidance.
• Review contract documents to understand project requirements.
• Attend project meetings and lead coordination meetings.
• Write and review complex RFIs.
• Resolve design issues and assist others with engineering problems.
• Serve as contact for Metromont engineers and subcontractors on complex questions.
• Check calculations and details for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Review erection drawings and shop tickets for compliance with standards.
• Be aware of production via plant visits and meetings.
• Become licensed in states where work is performed and stamp drawings when assigned.
