Job summary

Metromont LLC is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to provide leadership, expertise, and specialized knowledge in structural design and analysis for precast concrete projects. The role emphasizes management of complex engineering design tasks and collaboration across project teams.

Ideal candidates will have PE certification, 7+ years of relevant experience, and a background in structural engineering with a preference for precast concrete knowledge.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• PE Certification is required.
• BS Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and details for all products and connections.
• Independently perform lateral analysis and design; troubleshoot and check laterals.
• Lead project teams.
• Independently manage engineering design aspects of a project with minimal guidance.
• Review contract documents to understand project requirements.
• Attend project meetings and lead coordination meetings.
• Write and review complex RFIs.
• Resolve design issues and assist others with solving engineering design problems.
• Serve as point of contact for Metromont engineers and subcontractors for technical questions.
• Check engineering design calculations and details for accuracy and adherence to Metromont standards.
• Review erection drawings and shop tickets for compliance with standards.
• Be aware of production through plant visits and meetings.
• Become licensed in states where work is performed and stamp drawings when assigned.
• Evaluate design cost versus estimate and take appropriate action.
• Complete repairs without assistance.
• Potentially participate in PCI and ACI.
• Participate in pre-sale engineering design processes as requested by sales.
