Job summary

Ascendo Resources seeks a hands-on Controller for a PE-backed technology services company, remote to Pacific or Mountain time zone. You will own accounting operations, GAAP compliance, and close processes.

You will report to the CEO and partner with executives to provide timely, accurate financial information, drive scale, and build a high-performance accounting team across multiple revenue streams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in a Controller role.
• Strong U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue knowledge.
• Experience with private equity reporting and lender requirements.
• Proven ability to scale accounting processes and teams.
• CPA preferred, active license advantageous.
• IT services/VAR/MSP sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-, quarter-, and year-end close across divisions.
• Own general ledger integrity and chart of accounts.
• Lead revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and WIP.
• Manage AP/AR, payroll, cash applications, and DSO metrics.
• Deliver executive and PE reporting packages and insights.
• Build scalable controls and drive process improvements.
• Lead and develop the accounting team and cross-functional partners.
