Job summary

Concord Group Insurance in Westborough, MA is seeking an entry-level PD Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims. You will study policies, comply with procedures, and develop skills in negotiations while servicing agents, insureds, and others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience with property/casual claims handling.
• A minimum of one year of insurance claims experience is required.
• Ability to write reports and compose correspondence.
• Ability to analyze financial data and geometry concepts, and understand personal and business finance documents.

The Branch Claims Representative (PD Adjuster) investigates, evaluates, and determines the appropriate disposition of all types of claims arising out of the Company’s business. This job also provides service to agents, insureds, and others in the course of handling those claims to their conclusion. Work is performed under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Learn and comply with claim handling procedures.
• Develop skills in claim negotiations and settlements.

• Meet with people involved with claims, sometimes outside of our office environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience with property/casualty claims handling
• A minimum of one year of insurance claims experience is required. This requirement may be waived or changed, at Company discretion, based on prior education and/or experience.
• Ability to write reports and compose correspondence.
• Ability to accurately deal with mathematical problems, including geometry (area and volume) and financial areas (such as accuracy in sums, unit costs, and the capacity to read and develop understanding of personal and business finance documents).
• Ability to effectively deal with a diverse group of individuals
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security.
• Ability to organize data, multi-task and make decisions independently
