Job summary

MountainView Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care across the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes. This role encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in a busy acute-care setting.

The RN will monitor patients, administer medications, educate patients and families, and participate in emergencies.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN licensure in state or compact state required
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions.
• Provides patient and family education on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Implements infection control protocols to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
• Monitors and operates medical equipment as needed.
• Documents care thoroughly in the medical record.
