Job summary

Medical Solutions Direct Hire is seeking a PCU/Stepdown RN for a Normal, IL nursing role. The RN will provide care for higher-acuity patients on a 32-bed PCU with telemetry, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, and other advanced therapies during a night shift. This is a direct hire, full-time position.

Required is 1+ year of RN experience, active RN license, and certifications (BLS/ACLS/NIHSS preferred). The unit emphasizes strong nurse-to-patient ratios, EPIC documentation, and a diverse patient

Qualifications

• 1+ year of RN experience required for sign-on eligibility.
• Must read and interpret cardiac telemetry.
• Experience with chest tubes and higher-acuity inpatient care.
• Active RN license; BLS and ACLS; NIHSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for high-acuity PCU/stepdown patients.
• Interpret and monitor telemetry.
• Care for chest tubes and advanced devices.
• Administer meds and treatments per orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Document in EPIC accurately and timely.
• Float to ICU or General Medicine as needed.
