Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for PCU Stepdown/Charge RN duties. You will coordinate nursing care, guide staff, and collaborate with leadership to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include admissions/discharges, quality assessment, and staff development, with a patient-first focus and engagement initiatives. Requires ARNP level leadership traits and strong Med Surg/PCU background.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• RN license in good standing
• Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma
• Solid PCU experience or strong Med Surg background
• Previous Charge experience preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions and discharges to ensure throughput and high quality patient care
• Participate in ongoing assessment of care quality in the unit
• Collaborate with managers to create teamwork that improves outcomes and service
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed
• Help implement nursing strategies to improve engagement and rounds
• Provide input on interviewing, training, and performance management of staff
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management
• Support inventory control and equipment management
