Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a qualified RN to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in the Med-Surg/PCU setting. You will assess, monitor, administer medications, and document care while collaborating with physicians and the care team to support positive outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license, an Associate or Bachelor degree, and 1 year of Med-Surg experience. ACLS and BCLS training must be completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• 1 year of Med-Surg experience required.
• ACLS and BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and during each shift, report changes promptly.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record; administer prescribed meds and monitor responses.
• Provide timely, responsive care and attend to patient requests; anticipate needs and resolve issues.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up steps, translating medical terminology as needed.
