Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick up the shifts that fit your life.

Per diem pay is competitive with daily/weekly options and easy mobile scheduling. Join FCN to work as little as one shift per month or build a fuller schedule while staying locally owned and operated for over 15 years.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license with current status.
• 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• BLS and ACLS current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test completed in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
