Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule with shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a, and choose the shifts that fit your life.

FCN offers per diem pay, the option to work as little as one shift per month, daily and weekly pay options, and easy mobile scheduling through a locally owned staffing team with over 15 years in business.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.

Skills

Active Virginia RN License

PCU nursing experience

BLS

ACLS

TB test (QuantiFERON-TB Gold)

COVID-19 vaccination or exemption
