First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Shifts run 7a–7p and 7p–7a, with the freedom to pick up shifts that fit your life. Earn competitive per diem pay and daily/weekly pay options while working in hospital-based opportunities.

Choose your own schedule, work as little as one shift per month, and enjoy local staffing support with over 15 years in operation.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
