Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Virginia. Take control of your schedule with shifts from 7a-7p or 7p-7a, and enjoy flexible options to work when it suits you.

We offer competitive per diem pay, daily and weekly pay options, and the freedom to pick up as few as one shift per month. Join a locally owned staffing team with over 15 years of experience and responsive local support.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS required.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
