First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. Shifts available include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the option to pick up as few as one shift per month or build a fuller schedule.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License is required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS Current certification required.
• AHA ACLS Current certification required.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test current.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
