Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life with flexible scheduling and daily/weekly pay options.

Active Virginia RN license, 2+ years PCU experience, BLS, ACLS, and TB test within the past year are required, with vaccination or approved exemption. Per diem pay is competitive and shifts run 7a-7p or 7p-7a.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold within past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
