First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick schedules that fit your life. Earn competitive per diem pay and enjoy daily or weekly pay options.

You'll work in acute-care settings, providing high-quality patient care, documenting conditions, and collaborating with care teams. Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (or eligibility) required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• ACLS and BLS current; QuantiFERON-TB Gold test may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions with accuracy.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and charts.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments as needed.
