Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a with the freedom to pick your schedule and work as little as one shift per month.

Earn competitive per diem pay ($56.25-$57.25/hour), daily and weekly pay options, and the support of a locally owned company with over 15 years in the area.

Qualifications

• Must be a Virginia-licensed RN with recent PCU experience.
• Active Virginia RN license required; ACLS/BLS current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months; COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams; maintain EMR accuracy.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
