Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center is seeking a PCU Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans, monitor patient conditions, and educate families.

The role includes responsibilities as charge nurse, staff leadership, and adherence to hospital mission and performance improvement initiatives. A Tennessee RN license, BLS, and ACLS training within 6 months are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse from accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with TN Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs; carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
• Act as charge nurse: assign staff, serve as clinical resource, and respond to requests for information.
