Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is expanding its PCU RN pool for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life and receive flexible scheduling with daily and weekly pay options.

Active Virginia RN license, 2 years of PCU experience, and BLS/ACLS are required. Vaccination or exemption accepted. Competitive per diem pay with the freedom to choose shifts, including 7a-7p and 7p-7a blocks.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care within acute-care hospital settings.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status; document changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
