Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia, with shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a. You can pick the shifts that fit your life while enjoying flexible scheduling and local support.

Active Virginia RN license and at least 2 years of recent PCU experience are required, along with BLS, ACLS, and latest TB screening. COVID vaccination or a approved exemption is accepted.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• As a PCU RN with First Choice Nurses, you will provide high-quality patient care within acute-care hospital environments.
• Responsibilities may include: Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions; Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status; Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments; Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams; Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records; Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards; Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans; Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
