Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities across Hampton Roads, VA. Earn competitive per diem pay and pick shifts that fit your schedule, with day and night options and mobile scheduling.

You will be delivering high-quality nursing care in leading acute care hospital settings, collaborating with healthcare teams and maintaining accurate records. This role offers flexible per diem employment with local support and diverse opportunities.

Qualifications

Active Virginia RN License required.
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
Current BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification.
Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment for PCU patients.
Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
Follow hospital policies and infection-control standards.
Provide patient and family education.
Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.
