Job summary
First Choice Nurses in Virginia Beach area is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick the hours that fit your life.
You choose the shifts, enjoy competitive per diem pay, daily and weekly pay options, and easy mobile scheduling. Requirements include Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, TB test, and vaccine/exemption.
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license.
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within past 4 years.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Current AHA ACLS certification.
- Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
- Additional credentials may be required depending on facility assignment.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
- Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
