Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. If you want the freedom to pick shifts that fit your life, this is your chance to build a schedule that works for you.

Choose from 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts with competitive per diem pay, daily or weekly pay options, and easy mobile scheduling. Active Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience, and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments

Education

Virginia RN License

AHA BLS Certification

AHA ACLS Certification

QuantiFERON-TB test (within 12 months)
