Job summary
First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Work freedom to select 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts and build a schedule that fits your life.
Virginia RN license and 2 years PCU experience are required, with BLS and ACLS on hand. Per diem pay is competitive, with daily or weekly options and convenient mobile scheduling. This role offers local hospital-based opportunities with flexible commitments.
Qualifications
- Virginia RN license required and must have 2 years PCU experience in past 4 years.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
- Additional facility-specific credentials may be required.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintaining accurate and timely EMR
- Following infection-control and patient-safety standards
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
- Adapting to different hospital units and environments
