Job summary

Aspiring health system partners with Aspire Talent Solutions to recruit an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a full-time, on-site role in Great Falls, Montana. The RN will work within a high-quality inpatient team focused on safe nurse-to-patient ratios and collaborative care.

The position emphasizes compassionate patient care, leadership on the floor, and opportunities for clinical development. A supportive environment with strong administrative backing is offered.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licensure: Montana RN license (or compact/endorsement).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required or to be obtained within 6 months.
• Experience: post-graduate medical/surgical with recent ICU/PCU/stepdown experience.
• Pediatric experience is a plus; strong telemetry and EKG skills.
• Proficiency in basic cardiac telemetry and standard computer software.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to hemodynamically stable and selected unstable patients on PCU/stepdown.
• Care for pre/post-PCI, pacemaker care, revascularization and complex surgical patients.
• Monitor for deterioration and stabilize conditions using assessment tools.
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, NG tubes and IV pumps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from admit to discharge planning.
• Serve as floor clinical leader and mentor LPNs and CNAs.
