Job summary
First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with freedom to choose the shifts that fit your life.
Competitive per diem pay, daily/weekly pay options, and easy mobile scheduling accompany opportunities to work at multiple local hospitals. Active Virginia RN license with 2 years PCU experience and current BLS/ACLS are required.
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license.
- 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
- BLS Current (AHA)
- ACLS Current (AHA)
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
- Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
