First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts available: 7a-7p and 7p-7a. You choose the assignments that fit your life and build a schedule around your needs.

Earn competitive per diem pay with daily/weekly options, and enjoy easy mobile scheduling with local support. Virginia RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PCU experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience (past 4 years).
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
